IBN
Alright folks, let's talk a little of where, what.... of my work in this holidays, basically, just lab research at the Institue of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Work at Level 9, beside the Director's Suite =P
....But that also mean only short trips to the pantry. So what am I researching on?
Well its' bound by IP rights of the company, but suppose I can just talk about the basics.
Title- Investigation on identification of proteins that exist on fibres on ECM of cells but, in this case, implanted on fibre scaffolds.
Methods of Identification- IR Spectroscopy, Protein release, Immunohistochemistry and manual sectioning of cells. I suppose they can be easily Googled
Anyway, let's have a look at the people in there
My thoughts-
I went there, they are all high flyers in their schools, so I'm went there and I'm like, "Ok, I'm the noob" Suppose there's an atmosphere that suggests tha as well?
Erm, yeah, they are all trying to emulate their mentors as well.
Well, the researchers are...
Benjamin Tai- My mentor. Specialises in fibre scaffolding.
Sau Yin - An A*Star graduate from Imperial College =0 Wish she'd smile more
Xiao San - Another graduate
Shona - One of the more senior officers, but her certificate tells it all, 8km in 37 minutes, silver medal =0
Andrew - He's rated as one of IBN's leading researchers. One of the imba ones =0
Then the attaches....
Amanda - Lab mate, under same mentor
Ivan - RJ boy, gel thingy on rat skin cells
Wen Yan - HCI. Very soft-spoken?
Jia Yi - NJ, working on some stem cell stuff
Darren - NJ, some gel thingy application on breast cancer cells
Adeline - Also stem cells, but on rat heart cells, I must say she looks like Vera
Irvin - Sec 2 RI, damn gay with Rubix cube. Solved my mess in 40 seconds
Douglas - Another Imba rubix freak
Swatika - boy from ACS, quite inquisitive actually.
Yeah...that's about the people in our lab.
PS. I'm doing rat liver. =P
well, I'm tired, time to catch some sleep
