Graduated from BMT quite sometime ago
Found that BMT wasn't so bad afterall, if given a chance I would do BMT all over again. Army has given some very wonderful memories to cherish about.
"Kam-chong Kings"
Nearly my entire section belong to this group. I tend to go down 3-5mins earlier. Nicholas and Jasper have disappeared by then. Look out of the window, you may well find them in senang-diri position at the right marker's spot already. I guess its the kind of enthusiasm that can infect the entire platoon. By the 5th week, every section has their own early birds
"Sergeant P****"
Well, he's the sergeant that's the h**** one. The one that reads TinTin in his spare time. The weirdest but the most liked and most well-respected in the platoon. For him, water on the floor = c****** ; weather is hot = steam; cigar formation equals to something else (recall your hand signs now boys) double up = w******. But when it is time to be serious, we dont mess around with him
"Leftenant Jordan"
He's the one who seems to be pretty concerned with his hair. And says out his vulgarities in a fashion of rap. Perhaps the most fashionable of commanders, good luck with his subsequent batches of recruits, we were his 1st.
"Field-camp"
Thunderflashes. Fooling with an entire magazine of blanks. Rations that taste like crap. Digging your own craphole after the latrines were filled up. Doing tactical manuoveurs. And getting to see an entire family of wild boars, it happens only once in our lives. And it truly is bonding for you and your section
"Nightfall: Special Ops"
Last night in Ladang, we all slept way past the 2230 timing. This is where the demons have been unleashed. Kiwi soap pee, you name it. And Shankar lost 3 pair of short and shoes. And section 2 assaulted a combined group of section 1,4,5 unknowingly. The result: pillow fight
"Shankar"
Punching bag of platoon 3, well of the commanders most of the time. Simply stupid, simply selfish. Marching (can't march in time even on PoC-day) Stand-by-Area (Everybody is in position in smart4, the fool has only worn his trousers) Field pack display outside room (His et stick is on the parapet and basha pole's probably outside the toilet) Pumping by Commanders (shows middle finger).
Its an amazing phenomenon really, how such a dumb and retarded entity can actually exsist on Earth
"Kenny Perreria"
If you watch Army Daze, KP is the sissy in the movie. And we have a "zhar-bo" like that in platoon 2. Walks like a girl, laughs like a girl, oh and the poor fella is so blur that on the 4-5th week, he still doesn't know whats a gas regulator
"Naded"
Okay this happened during Live nade throwing. Some dumb-**** from platoon 1 dropped his practice nade in the bay and it exploded. Apparently, he didn't know how to hold it prroperly and neither did he have the strength to hold it for extended periods. Result:A good shelling from the Sergeants and most likely a stayin or two
Pegasus Platoon 3 "Pa Buay To"
I love my Smart 4

Passing out tomorrow. IC for the past week, was tough, tough tough week, loads of crap. When given 40mins to expand Company evening's performance to twice as long, the rest of the platoon just melts away. When problems ensue, we only start to see the people that appear to help when in need. These are the people that we can finally see, people whom we can trust to fight alongside. Handed over to the "platoon best"
Who cares anyway.
Here's a little song we made
On a dark Tekong highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of the sea, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw my tracers go
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to shoot in the night
There he stood in the darkness
I heard the Sergeant yell
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be heaven or this could be hell"
Then he smacked my helmet and I shouted IA IA
There were voices in my head,
I thought I heard them say...
Welcome to the Hotel Pulau Tekong
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel Pulau Tekong
Any time of year, you can find it here
His mind is tiffany-twisted, he's got the Lieutenant rank
He's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that he calls recruits
How they march in the jungle, sweet summer sweat.
Some march to remember, some march to forget
So I called up the captain,
"Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
Welcome to the Hotel Pulau Tekong
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
They livin it up at the Hotel Pulau Tekong
What a nice surprise, bring your Eleven B's
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And he said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own devices"
And in the cookhouse canteen,
We gathered for dinner
The stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill Shankar
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the Penguin back
To the place I was before
"Relax" said the Sergeant,
We are programmed to receive.
You can bookout any time you like,
But you can never leave!
3rd platoon Curahee

PEGASUS 3rd platoon. Timer. 66-man
just returned from 2weeks of confinement. Landed in perhaps one of the most interesting platoons. The biggest but fastest in the company. Hopefully BMTC2 too. Being in a C-coy allows you to see people from all walks of lives. From the subtle JC students to the garang poly volunteers as well as some of the more brash *** students. Just as what friends have been saying before we booked in
Ben's in Yankee, he says its hell and he's a timer for like 33-man (only =P)
Bryan's a Ninja, apparently he's like excused from everything (you better don't go to the MO too often, before they launch an investigation)
OTP is in Orion, they've just come back from field camp. Think it was them i saw looking totally flaked out 2-3days ago
Fairuz is in Scorpion
Oh well, did one jungle training lesson at Salabin already. Sounds fun but it really throws you in a situation of the nitty- gritty never expected. Had to lie on ant fields attempt to find a hiding spot to evade the "enemy" sergants. Oh well I didnt see them and they didnt see me. So I failed that particular mission.
Lots of stuff to say. Not too sure how to begin actually. But I'm actually and also looking forward to next week. I wanna see and enjoy what hell they have. And to seeing my buddies back in the section.
